Farm Sim Game Cookie Policy

1. Who we are

FarmSimGame.com ("Farm Sim Game", "we") is operated by Sargent Interactive LLC, PO Box 65, Toney, AL 35773, USA. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@sargentinteractive.com.
This policy covers the website you are on now. Each FarmSimGame.com hostname keeps its own cookie choice, and other Farm Sim Game or Sargent Interactive websites ask for their own.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage, and content loaded from another company's servers (scripts, embedded videos and images), which sends that company your IP address, browser details and the address of the page you are on.

3. How we use them

Strictly Necessary (always on): signing in with Discord, keeping your visit's session, protecting forms against forgery, and remembering your cookie choice. These are set by FarmSimGame.com and are not used for tracking.
Functional (off unless you allow it): Plays YouTube videos embedded in docs, mod pages and guides. Until this is on, those videos show a placeholder with a link to watch on YouTube instead. Provider: Google (YouTube) - youtube-nocookie.com, youtube.com, ytimg.com, googlevideo.com.
Analytics (off unless you allow it): Google Analytics counts visits and the pages people use so we can see which parts of the site are used. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off. Provider: Google (Google Analytics 4) - googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com.
Advertising (off unless you allow it): Google AdSense shows ads to visitors who are not supporters, which helps pay for the site. Google may use cookies and your device information to personalize ads and measure them. Supporters never see these ads. Provider: Google (AdSense) - googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, google.com, adtrafficquality.google, fundingchoicesmessages.google.com.
Nothing in the optional categories loads before you allow it. Until then, the site makes no requests to Google Analytics, Google AdSense or YouTube.

4. Cookies and storage we use

"This website" means the FarmSimGame.com hostname you are visiting. First-party items are stored under our domain, even when a provider's script writes them. Lifetimes are how long the item stays in your browser; some browsers shorten them.

Google may also set its documented AdSense cookies __gads, __gpi and __eoi on this website. We did not see them in our testing, but we treat them as Advertising cookies and remove them if Advertising is off.

5. Your choices

Accept All turns on the Functional, Analytics and Advertising categories described here, and nothing else.
Reject Optional keeps only Strictly Necessary cookies. The site works the same way, except embedded videos show a link to YouTube instead of a player, there is no usage measurement, and no ads are shown.
Customize lets you choose each category. Embedded video placeholders also have an "Enable embedded videos" button, which turns on the Functional category.
Your choice lasts 6 months, and then we ask again. We also ask again if we add new optional purposes or providers. Rejecting is remembered for just as long as accepting.
Withdrawing consent: open Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page (or on your Account page), turn a category off and save. We stop that category straight away, delete the cookies and storage it left on this website, and reload the page without it.
Each time you choose, we keep a short receipt: a random receipt ID, your choices, the version of this notice, how you chose (banner, settings or video placeholder), whether your browser sent Global Privacy Control, and the date. We do not store your IP address, browser details or account with it. Receipts are deleted after 2 years.

6. Third-party content and providers

Google (Google LLC and its affiliates) provides Google Analytics, Google AdSense and YouTube. If you allow these categories, Google receives your IP address, device and browser information and the pages you visit here, and processes it under its own policies, which may include transfers outside your country. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Embedded YouTube videos load from youtube-nocookie.com only after you allow Functional cookies. You can always use the "Watch on YouTube" link instead.
To run the site, pages also load code and images from other servers: Bootstrap, Select2, Popper and Bootstrap Icons from cdn.jsdelivr.net, jQuery from code.jquery.com, toastr and highlight.js from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, Leaflet maps from unpkg.com, Discord server icons from cdn.discordapp.com, and our hosting partner's logo from b-cdn.fragnet.net on some server pages. These requests share your IP address, browser details and the page address with those providers. We do not use them for tracking and they are not optional cookies, but they are not under our control.
Signing in sends you to Discord, and supporter payments are completed on our payment provider's pages. Those services set their own cookies on their own sites.

7. Browser controls

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking Strictly Necessary cookies will stop sign-in and forms from working.
Deleting cookies in your browser also deletes your cookie choice, so we will ask again. It does not delete information a provider has already received; contact that provider, or us for our own data, to ask for that.
We can only delete cookies stored on this website. We cannot delete cookies Google or YouTube store on their own domains.

8. Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of targeted advertising. Google AdSense stays off for that browser, even if you choose Accept All or allowed Advertising before, and the Cookie Settings panel shows that the signal was detected. You do not need to sign in for this to work.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this page when the technologies we use change. If we add new optional purposes or providers, we ask for your choice again.
